I can't reach the safety without breaking my firing grip. I don't like the stock sights on the m9 either. a detail strip and clean tends to fix the problem. Per the corps, at least, this is a safety deadline. Also, anyone familiar with how the m9 safeties work, knows the hammer falling when the gun is on safe has no effect, but for some reason when they get dirty they will cock on safe. It's on high round count guns, granted, but it's not something you would see on a steel/steel gun as frequently.
